Every time I talk about this song it makes me happy because the people who inspired it just make you feel that way.
Julia went to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX- not to meet her future husband necessarily, but to get an education. Hailing from the great state of Michigan and her family’s Christmas Tree Farm, she had no intention of falling in love with a Texas cowboy. David was persistent though, determined to make this girl bring out the best of everything that he and the great state of Texas had to offer.
