Went to the LIVE DVD recording for Aaron Watson at the Ice House this past weekend, had a BLAST hanging out with everybody and catching up with Deryl Dodd. I enjoyed getting to talk with some near and far radio DJs as well. Business before pleasure seems to be the motto always at those things. I will say the funniest thing of the evening was the mmm, probably 40 something or so guy (nothing wrong with the age) that somehow managed to steal the “Women Only” sign from the “Women Only” porta-pottie section area, shirt off, beer in one hand, sign in the other who then proceeded running around screaming “yeah, woo-hoo.” In the crowd of people I was with we were discussing that by all means, if it were somebody like Kevin Fowler’s show, that guy FOR SURE would’ve made the DVD. Hands down. Regardless of what we were all doing, Aaron put on a good show. I’ve talked with Walt and it looks like we’re mixing the record July 13-16th. I meet again with my radio promoter this week to talk about manufacturing the CD and how we’re going to go about getting that done and out to you guys! Super excited. Nothing’s booked this weekend, I spent the majority of the week scheduling- meetings, shows, and recording agendas. Stay tuned!!
